Sauerkraut





Cabbage, salt, boiling water, time in a jar. After one week kraut not so sauer. Still quite yummy. Very cabbage & good with caraway. We will try the second jar in a few weeks. And I will post the results.

  1. Ah...this reminds me....one time a couple years ago, I went to my neighborhood hair salon, and my stylist invited me into her kitchen to see the sauerkraut she was making. She kept it in a bowl covered with a towel until it was ready. I tried to make some & it did not turn out as good hers. Must be some tricks to this trade!
